MEET JILLIAN

Jillian Burgos is a small business owner, essential healthcare worker, life-long renter, neighborhood council member, and candidate to become the next City Councilmember for District 2.

As Chair of the Housing & Services committee, Jillian has been a fierce advocate for her community, creating a Tenant Rights Workshop in partnership with The City of Los Angeles, Abundant Housing LA and SAJE, helping pass several Neighborhood Purpose Grants to feed and provide wraparound services for many of NoHo’s unhoused, and bringing mental health services and mentorship to schoolchildren with PESA.

Jillian's campaign is not just about winning an election – it's about building a bridge from the Valley to City Hall and prioritizing the needs of Council District 2. By prioritizing preventative services and community solidarity, she aims to create a more equitable and inclusive future for all residents. With a focus on affordable housing, ending homelessness, expanding transportation access, environmental sustainability, and economic justice for all, Jillian Burgos is poised to make history as the first Afro-Latina elected to Los Angeles City Council.
